Default Surfland / plum island mass

Kate Moulton has the most extensive collection of Striped bass pictures of 50 pounders that I have ever seen. They date back to the 1960's. A must see if your ever out to Plum Island.

Hey, I;ve been there! not to get bait fro striper fishing, but to get bait for crabs, this was before I was into striper fishing. It was cool though.

Surfland rips it up. They have the "Wall of Danny's" and the "Wall of Bombers". Awesome selection, and there's usually a funny conversation going on in there lol. I've heard it ALL at Surfland ;)

The wall starts from 1980. Ask kate to show you her old collection that begins at 1960. It isnt displayed. I bought an eel trap and a giant striper coffee mug. 8)

Surfland has been there forever. I think it's the oldest place around here.

Yea thats an accomplishment to be on their wall of fame. Boy I'd feel like I arrived as a fisherman if I could catch a horse like that Roccus.

Sea sea rider,
No I moved to reading last fall,I grew up in Andover Mass, moved to Lawrence when I got out of the service and got married(dope thatI was)
The Kids are grown, first wife ran off to California with her boyfriend, leaving me to raise 4 kids, there all grown up and have children of their own.
I strarted fishing the Merrimack with my dad in the early sixties,by the mid seventies I had my own boat and began tending eel traps and selling schoolies (dad would drop me off in the morning and pick me up at night)
Now allmost 40 years later I still fish the Merrimack river,my boat is in Salisbury where it has been docked in the same slip for 18 years.
I have fished striped bass down to the cape, but like Dorethy said in the movie "there's no place like home"
Regards:
Roccus

Cant say that I know him,I see the boy's chunkin' up under the bridge as I'm heading out from my marina(at the bridge) I've got too many other productive places to get aggrivated by the steady stream of boat traffic, but,I have taken some corkers on plugs run behind the wire in the the hole on the north side under the bridge late at night when fog and wind conditions didnt allow me to go elswhere.
