Default Need tips from striper fishermen who fish from a boat...
It looks like I'll be buying an old aluminum boat with a 65 horse Force outboard soon and I'm already planning for next year. No need to divulge secret spots, but what do you look for in striper holding areas? Is it primarily drop-offs between say 10-15 feet of water to 30+ feet, or is it more complicated than that?

We got alot of Striper on the dropoffs just off the channel!! 15 to 25 ft. Incoming and out going tides!! Live Herring!! GOOD LUCK!!

It seemed like alot of stripers AND herring were running deep this year which was kinda strange to me.
