Was just wondering if anyone has tried them up here in the albany area??
its tough to get herring early in the season wonder if anyone has tried using blood worms?
they work great down south why wouldnt they work up here???
noob question- i live in coldspring area. Just curious as to where "upstate" line starts. where about in the river is the cut-off for affective use of blood-worms. Im very new to fishing the river and have never caught herring so most likely limited to worms until i learn to catch some which i have learned is more difficult now (no creek nets).
I'm in the Newburgh/Beacon area myself, Bloods and herring work fine. Look out for the Cornwall reports also they are close to us. From shore I just soak bloods and find no problems, it basically your preference.
