Thoughts on 2013 changes to Striper Laws?

Somewhat interesting read. Leaves me basically unaffected as a lure guy. I don't think I have many/any lures with more than 2 trebles. When the rare occasion arose where I used bait, I had a circle hook anyway. I haven't read into the study at the address linked to in this pdf file yet...

I've been reading about this for a couple years now. I'm not a big fan of circle hooks. There is not enough evidence that they are better. Some stats says yes some say no.
There is also something about three treble hooks on plugs. You are only allowed to have two.

Yeah. Does any of it bother you, or would it change the way you currently fish? Do you feel it's too prohibitive in any way?

To me it doesn't seem bad. In trying to protect the fish more, they haven't say, reduced size limits.

Doesn't effect me much aside from the circle hooks.. Which really kind of sucks since I just restocked my hooks for next season.. Oh well. Guess I should have waited.

Maybe it talked about this, I don't remember.... I wonder if the circle hook thing applies to the guys who like to fish tube and worm?

It is what it is, we have to adapt to this change and keep fishing. It doesn't really affect me since my lures are 2 treble, and I've been doing the circle hook thing for over 10 years, so business as usual for me, in this aspect.
