Hudson River Striper

While I have been striper fishing for years on the beach, I am trying to understand the river run. Can anyone point me in the right direction for reading up on this? Everyone claims the run is over but don't some resident fish hang in there for the summer? Or in the fall?

there are residents year round up north for sure .... i have caught stripers up to 7 or 8 lbs in august

you can still find fish up in troy right now if you were to go out .... they tend to hang longer .... but they are mostly small fish

i know after a month plus of sitting on the river in an urban setting it sure is nice to be out on a pristine mountain lake ....

i really wanted to get out one last time ..... i hammered fish through 5/5 then came the supermoon and monsoons and i havent caught a striper since

this is my second season fishing for stiper on the hudson @ newburg ny the people and scenery are great unfortunately i am not able to fish as much i like
