preventing a tangled mess ???

Hi guys,

how do you all prevent tangling of pre rigged bottom rigs as well as other ready made rigs seperated and ready to fish. I hate wasting time trying to tie up rig while fishing.

Mattman I usually use premade stuff. I keep fishfinders in one pocket and swivels and sinkers in another. If I have time to pre make them i tie the barrel swivel to the leader and hook. roll it in a coil and put it in a zip lock sandwich bag. Pack 4 of them and Im set. Its easy to put on a sinker slide and make one knot. I guess it all depends on how complicated your set up is.

i tie a barrell swivel (uni knot) to self snelled hooks of choice and thats it. slip a sinkerslide on main line, then a bead and attatch the main line (uni) to the barrellswivel on the hook rig- done! i use a barrelswivel cause them hogs like to turn and flip. should've never tried the brittish rig at the rock.

I like plastic zip lock bags too. protects them from the salt to.

I had the chance to go fishing, and used the plastic zip lock idea.
It worked pretty well. The night before I went I made up a bunch of bottom rigs, with various hooks, and labeled each bag with which hooks were on the rig.

I live on the eastern shore of Maryland; I was fishing the Ocean City MD area, 2nd to 4th street public fishing area.

I have fished many spots on the shore, Indian River inlet, Assiteague Island, OC bulk head on the bay, off of the Rt 50 bridge, as well as on the Chesapeake bay(by boat and off of jetties)
