Kayak Rod Reel setup Stripers

I will be visiting VA beach this summer with my kayaks and would like to fish for stripers and blues. I need to purchase a few rods and reels. i would like to stay around $200 for the each setup. does anyone have any suggestions? I like and use fresh water bait casters and was leaning towards this type for the saltwater. i will need one spinning for younger son. i will most likely use these for fishing strippers in the Ohio river and Lake Cumberland KY after the VA trip.

please specify rod length and firmness
line setup as far as pounds
also need to know what size and type of hooks to purchase.

A 7 foot rod is a good for kayaking. That is what i mainly use.
If you want a afforidble but very good rod go with a ugly stick they are very good for kayaking.
Go with Medium Heavy action
also go with 15-20lb powerpro braid.

Reel either Penn slammers or Spinfishers. Both are excellent reels.


Bait casting
Again 7 foot Medium Heavy
Once again go for a ugly stick
Same line 15-20lb powerpro
