Re: Introduction and latest work
a few pointers that i can offer is to try and cut your lip slots as straight as you can and try to get your belly grommets to seat in all the way so they wont fall out. a good rule of thumb is to assemble and test swim after you seal them, but before you take the time to paint em. a good swimming plug is more important than a pretty one.

Re: Introduction and latest work
Thank you everyone for the replys. yep, I'm 13 years old. i'm found on other sites aswell. Every style has been made before and tested except the jointed pikies. The darters, needles, WY Popper, dannys pikies, and everything have been fished in M. We did good on the pikies when the bunker moved in in NOV. The needle that is painted herring has produced for me in white on the NS on dark nights.
Jim,
Thanks for the advice! If these swim, they will be stripped down to find weight location and to be replicated for future building. I put a lot of thought into these, and am confident in them. Also, about the grommets, I ran out of the bigger size so the smaller ones where my last option, and didnt fit uniform to the whole. I will etex them in sometime tonight. Thanks guys!

Rclark,
I understand what you mean. I live 3 hours from the water, but it doesn't stop us from getting out. With that said, no one aaround here even knows what surfcasting is. The cuts aren't needed, but do help with flexability when he plug is swimming. I beleive some of ryan smiths jointed rm's have them.

You have your head of the pikie, and you have all the hardware in and you through whire it. You make the tail wrap like you normaly would. Then, You take the back portion of it, and stick the wire in but keep it so the eye (loop on the top of wire) is sticking out a few inches. Now take the eye, and slide it over the tail wrap of the pikies head. Then slide the back portion up the wire, and slide the eye of the wire into the back portion with the tail wrap connected.I'm working on another, so If this confuses you let me know and I can get you pics.
Thanks for the comments guys, these look amazing etexed.
