Trying to be a nice guy...

I've been fishing almost everyday after work for the past 6 weeks, with mixed results. I've caught probobly about 30 scoolies, but nothing of any size really. SO... my buddie wanted me to take him fishing, so me being the nice guy I take him. His baits in the water for 30 seconds and slams a 38" cow! First frigin cast of the season and catches a keeper. Frusterated would be an understaitment of what I was feeling!! I guess some people have all the luck! Just figured I'de share my frusteration with the rest of you!! Tight lines!

it happens though ..... a personal note though when i use live herring i generaly change my bait every 20 minutes or so just so they are real lively ...its all about presentation and luck good luck

Nice guys might finish last in most situations but not when fishing... At least you knew you were on the fish and it's always exciting when a buddy catches a cow

I know what you mean. It happens. Hey, look on the bright side, your buddy got a nice one. With out you takin' him, he wouldn't have nailed that baby.

You put in the six weeks, so you know the right place, right time, right presentation. Knowledge is the key ...your fish!

As for putting your buddy in place to reel it in ....your a great guy. We should all have more friends like you. And remember what goes around, comes around.
