crankbaits
Does anyone ever use those deepdiving crank baits that are about 1-2 inches long with the big lips if so which ones do uuse and do u ever has sucess with them :?: :?:
This last summer i was at a lake and i was using live minno's and things were slow so i put on a little crankbait and caught two fish right off the bat and then it was time to go so i couldnt use try it longer.

Those are killer on Bass and Perch...for Bass, I like the Perch pattern and for perch I like the smaller ones with dark on top and light on bottom.
...Senkos still own ALL! :D

The most important thing about a lake when you approach to fish it is to find out what depth your fish are holding at. Dont be afraid to ask the other guys on the lake or the ones leaving the lake how deep the targeted species are holding. Whether it be largemouth hybrids or stripers. Hybrids like the open water and the others like cover. If you figure out the depth, thats most of the battle. This can be a situation to utilize the divers. The bill on front determines the diving depth of the crank bait. Or you can suspend a down line to them.

I prefer perch colored crankbaits - and all diving lures - for freshwater. Perch will take em, they are very cannabalistic, and bass love em too, they are long, so they are easy to swallow. Also thedark on top, light on bottom (shad) colors work great. I like trolling my crankbaits nice and slow, its always fun.

Senkos are by far my favorite lure...
Texas or Wacky...makes no difference...its all good :D

Ya...I do when ever I rig texas...
This year im gonna try to find some weedless hooks so I can rig weedless Wacky...
...I only use Gamakatsu hooks for soft plastics :)

Dan, If you didn't catch it in my other post, try the K-Wacky weedless hooks made by Falcon Lure Company http://www.fishingworld.com/FalconLures/ They come either plain or weighted and are Gamakatsu hooks like you prefer. Great for rigging senko style stickbaits and for big crawdad tubes like the Madman or Storm craws. They get a big chunk of em too, most of the time right through the bony part of the mouth. Really gives a solid hookset and does a great job keeping moss and grass off. If you try em out, let me know how they do for you.

Ya, I saw those...maybe I'll check em' out...
I bought weedless Southbend hooks...which are junk, but they are doing exactly what I expected them to do when I bought 25 for $1.25 :D
