Default up comming Raystown Lake

Soon the fishing at Raystown Lake will be here. I plan on fishing with a guide, then going out on my boat I am looking for someone to fish with. See I am new on the east coast. I perfer to fish during the week. So let me know. I fish for stripers, trout, catfish. would like to fish for pike and walleye.

Just found this site, Hello all.

Chas, I live in Central PA also. I get over to Raystown about 1/2 dozen times a year. I have only caught 2 Stripers so far. Good luck, it's a big lake, no matter what it's always good to be fishing.

We may do the houseboat thing for our 2 week summer vacation this year
Been talking about it for the past 3 years but always end up at LBI or an island instead.

Suds I hear it has a chop like the Delaware bay in the summer time from all the houseboats.
Late september is supposed to be better.

Im heading north come summer time.

Hey chas I grew up in central PA and fished Raystown all the time cept that was about 20 years ago, not a bad place to fish. I've heard that summers are pretty tough there now. Sudsy If you're thinkin of rentin a house boat it won't be as bad as LBI but I'd wait til September if you can things clear out big time you'll think you own the lake.
