I like being there at day break,so the earlier the better,we can always meet up latter, good point about the parking, also waiting to launch could be a pain....

How late do you guys plan to be out? I figure it's about a 2 hour drive for me if I were to drive up. I could be there early, but wouln't want to get home too late since I have to work the next day.

Hight tide Newburyport is 11:37 AM, 7.8'

Low tide is 6:08 PM 0.8

These are great tides, they give us alot of options, you wouldnt have to stay the whole outgoing if you didnt want to......the early start would be more benificial.

My plan (subject to change) was to go outside and get mackerel, then go up river and fish them to the top of the tide,as tte tide drops, work my way down river back toward the mouth, this should lead to a very productive outing, covering alot of different structure under different tidal conditions,if the waeather blows up,the locations I plan to fish will still lend to trolling the tube, plugging and jigging(about half tide out we should get into some good topwater plug action).

I plan to prefish all the areas for two or three days before you all get here so I'll know EXACTLY when and where the fish will be.....

I figure we can meet at one of two places, either at my marina or at the public boat launch, there is plenty of parking and some people will need to launch, the boat launch is within walking distance of my marina (i make it twice a year) so they are close to each other.

MrBuster,
we dont have a full headcount, you should come up if you want to we'll find room somewhere....

Hopefully my boat will be ready and I'll be there, looks like the weather might break a little today and I'll be able to work on it. I just hope June 5th isn't its first time in the watah!

Roccus,
I'm waiting to hear back from Briggs on his plans before I set anything in stone, but at this point it looks like you can probably count on me one way or the other (either riding up with Briggs or driving up early Sunday morning). Sounds like several people are still working on getting their boats ready, so I hope we don't run short on boat space for everyone. If you end up short on boat space, just let me know and I'll make other plans.

Whew!!! We're all sunburned and I'm sore. Just got home. What a fishing trip!!! Longest that I actually put on the measuring board was 38 inches, but there were a couple bigger than that that we didn't measure. By 10:30am we had lost count of the number of good sized fish caught,, who knows what it ended up being by the end of the day.

Skunk is obliterated beyond belief and I'm one tired puppy. :D :D

Thanks again Roccus for an unforgettable day!!!
