I think he is still trying. The quality of posters on this site has gone down hill. We now have a buch of knucle heads who want to fight with seasoned fishermen saying they know better. Well, I got a few questions for those who think they know it all.

1. Ever caught a striper over 60lbs?
2. Ever caught serveral stripers over 50lbs?
3. Ever navigate the mouth of the mack, at night, drifting, and make it back with fish ?
4. have you Been fishing for over 30 years on the Mack and Plumb island?
5. Do you make your own plugs?
6. Do you make your own rods?
7. Do you catch your own eels?
8. Ever been featured in a magazine or news publication about fishing?
9. Ever been in a DVD on plumb island and striper fishing?

I can only answer no to all of those questions. But people who you wish to fight with can answer yes to all of them.

Go ahead and fish the way that makes you comfortable. Just be aware that it may not be the best way to catch fish. I fish for the challenge of it. What ever it takes to put fish over the rail is what I will do.

Sorry, I think I missed those parts. Out of curiosity, who are the knuckle heads, where is the indication they want to fight, and can you quote anywhere that they say they know better?

I'm still here! Haven't caught a keeper yet, just the one schoolie a couple weeks ago.

Still trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong

I'm still trying! Hopefully a pic will be not too far away.

Okay I'll admit I did not follow this thread because I do not fish the Merrimack. But saw 4 pages so I figured I'd check it out. Then I saw this quote. My friend you are not only a tool as someone else said....but a stupid useless tool at that. A river, lake, ocean, bay....any body of water is like a road. It has vehicles on it that use it for a variety of reasons. It is not a parking lot. Your analogy is utterly the stupidest reasoning I have ever heard

I shore fish. I am also a boater and a very responsible one at that. I would never anchor where boats typically drift. I would never drift the mouth if there were constant traffic going in and out. What is needed is more mutual respect and understanding for the other person and not just making it all about me. me, me all the time as so many people do.
