Do you perfer fishing in north or south of long island.? On the beach or canal.?
I been fishing past month no sign of Striper but Blues..=( I was on Rockaway Beach, Long beach fishing pier, beach on north and south side of Long Island,
Can anybody give me a hine of where to go...Please..
Or maybe we can go together so I can learn from an expert.

I fish from Fire Island both surf and bay. I get far more quantity and quality from the bay side. Been all skates and small schoolies on the ocean side. More blues then anything else and still not a flatty for the year.
Pretty much just chunking herring, bunker and clam.
If you can get on the South Bay an hour or two prior to high tide you should do well. The real trick is avoiding the skates, dogfish and robins.
the most action i have been seeing was on the north shore in like may-june i was in manhassat bay but now im currently in northport and 2 days agao scored the largest striper of my life
I was out Saturday at Jones Beach from 11pm till just about 1am. The weather was nice the wind was out of the west not a single hit!
I tried again Sunday the wind was stronger out of the South and Colder.
I thought I'd catch the Sunset from 6:30pm and I stayed till around 8:30pm again not a hit!
Me thinks we need the water a few more degrees warmer!
