Looking for feed back on the casting egg

I like the idea of the casting egg with saltwater fly's for the surf. I was going to spin some to the shape of the freshwater bubble. Kinda like a long tear drop. can anyone help with some design parameters. I use this set-up to catch fussy freshwater trout when the are feeding on small fly's. if you have any pics. please attach them. thanks for your help!

I had some a while back, you make large 'egg' through drill wire with beads between the eyes and the wood to allow rotation put the stainless wire/nail in the lead edge to hold the line optional....seal prime paint or seal , natural, epoxy...I had several sizes ....1oz to 2oz...brass wired ...Ill try to find the pictures and post asap
