I am just curious if we (I am in boston) are now well into "summer" fishing rather than "spring migration". I had some early luck in the local estuaries a few weeks back was doing well on both worms and poppers. Over the last two weeks I havent felt a nibble or seen much fish. I am a shore-fisher and occasional kayak-fisher.
Should I be changing strategies? tackle? locations?
And I do try to get as close as I can to structure and depths and try to target the outgoing tides. I have to admit I havent always been out there at the most ideal times/tides. But Hey, I've been out there logging the time! Just figured I'd see a little more action.
I am getting a little frustrated, so any general advice would be helpful and MUCH appreciated. I'd just like to reel a little something in...
The water temp is rising. You need to get into deeper/cooler water altough the rivers will always hold some fish throughout the year. Try fishing from one of the islands.
Been fishing from shore from hull to duxbury. Not getting large stripers but consistantly landing good fish using swim baits. Mostly fishing nights with an outgoing tide
