was thinking of buying this for myself as an x mas gift to put on my chuncking rod. any body have any exp with this reel before i buy it. its hard to find a left hand conv retrive.

I don't think you will make a wrong decision with that reel. Abu's are user friendly, and easy to maintain.

You might also want to look at the 7000i C3 Pro Rocket.
Heavier gears and casts like a dream, very hard to backlash. It's the hot reel among the jig tossing bridge crew, a crowd who abuse their gear worse then any other group of fishermen, by far.
I've watched friends winch 15# thrashing bluefish 40' straight up in the air without any problems.

I want one BAD !!

So very true and some of the parts are interchangeable with other Abu reels.

does any body know were i can purchase this reel in left hand retrive?
the place i orderd from was out of stock .

what about the red series ? thats the only one i found in left hand<

i let a red rocket slip through my fingers on the chance i trade my 525 penn. it was a split second decision as i had to give up the rod and reel. i shoulda just went for it. i believe he could not handle it and saw how well my reel cast. either way, water under the pier.
