Hello All,
I guess I'm a new kid on the block for now. A little intro about me...

I'm a NY'er tried and true, grew up (Graduated from Erasmus in 74) in Brooklyn NY and moved to Orange County NY in 83

As a kid I fished out of Sheepshead Bay on party boats such as the original Helen H, the Brooklyn, Tampa (under the command of Becker) Jet and even the Glory...

Surf fishing was Jamacia Bay Canarsie pier Steeplechase pier, Reiis Park and Boozy (opps I ment Breezy) point...

I get to Montauk as often as I can and will be headed to Orient Point on 9/21 and hope to do some cooler filling....

I'm married and have 2 grown fishing buddies (Sons) 23 and 26, I've also been involved with the BSA for God knows how many years as a youth in Flatbush to the present (Both Sons are Eagles)

I also fish for Largemouth bass as the area I live in has many lakes, and am a member of several LMB forums such as this is for Stripers...


I hope to pick the brains of fellow "fisher persons" hereas well as contribute when I can...

I'm a bit north of you in Sullivan County and I too enjoy the great freshwater fishing here. But my #1 target will always be the striped bass.

Yeah the Glory with the one stack as well as the open engine grate in the middle with benches on either side you used to get light headed if he didn't flip for the drift more often...

as it's hotter and humid than hell outside I'm watching the Giants do their thing as well as getting my gear ready for my trip next week out to Orient Point... ...
