freshwater stripers

Does anyone know of any lakes with freshwater stripers within 40 minutes of allentown pa??

Hey Mike your in luck. Nockomixon is 23 miles from where you live.
and the delaware river is close enough to you as well.

Mikey give the park office a call for a heads up. They will likely tell you where people bank fish. Places that arent private property. Launch areas are good sometimes and right off the ramps are the best spots. People dump their unused bait there all the time. There is a pier type jetty mid lake that many fish from. You can drive right on to it.

Nockamixon Lake offers four boat access areas. Anglers typically use the Three Mile Run and Haycock launch areas. Maximum horsepower was recently raised to 20 horsepower. For additional information, call the Nockamixon State Park office at (215) 529-7300.

Mikey we're practically neighbors. Stroudsburgh is about 40 miles south of here. 40 minute drive to east stroudsburgh. Was there Saturday night.

we should fish together somtime. jim do u think it is possible to catch a striper from shore on noxamixion considering i dont have a boat and all. They let ya rent boats there but thats expensive and i would fish from the shore more

Nockamixon Sport Shop, Quakertown (215-538-9553): Lake Nockamixon ice is gone?it's time to launch your boats, because Josh says this is the time of year for big largemouth in the lake?look for pre-spawn fish on flats in 5-15 feet of water?big females are cruising around searching for places to nest?if you have patience and target likely areas with stickbaits and jerkbaits, you will catch some big fish.
