public transportation to jamaica bay

can anyone tell me the best stop on the A train to get out and fish jamaica bay from shore??? Preferably one with baitshop near

BY TRAIN: Take the "A" train going to Rockaways. Exit at Broad Channel Station. Walk west to Crossbay Boulevard then north, (right), about 1/2 mile to the refuge.

BY BUS: Take Triboro Q53 bus from Roosevelt Ave./ Jackson Heights. Exit at refuge stop. You can also take the Greenline Q21 from the intersection of Woodhaven and Liberty Ave. Exit at refuge entrance.

BY CAR: From Brooklyn - Belt Parkway (east) to exit 17 (Crossbay Boulevard) go over North Channel Bridge and continue 1 1/2 miles to the Traffic light at the entrance to the Refuge on the right.

fished under verazano br. on bkln side from about 5:30 till 1am

caught a fluke, a weakfish and a small striper on clams

thats it

at least there was variety

Way to go jake

Havent been to the rock in a bit. Several reasons, personal stuff. May make the trip at the end of the week. We will have to go find them off of a boat. The shore can be hit or miss. Im in the middle of 2 projects, new bathroom, and new porch, knockin down a kitchen wall. Allready fired my brothers friend. He came up to help, slept for 3 days broke a 20 gallon fish tank and annoyed the hell out of me. Paid him, fed him and fired him. Oh well. He'll live. Im surrounded by morons. :D Just kidding. No wonder I live by myself in the middle of nowhere. Its real solitude. Ill call your cell when Im nearby.
