Last year was my first year in the Albany area and I had a blast (with much appreciated help from the forum). I know it varies, but typically, what month can you start catching them in the Albany/Troy area?
Some years you can hit them in late April, but they are mostly schoolies around that time. It really depends on the water temperature. By Mother's Day they are usually hitting pretty well.
