After having a fish jerk my rod out of the holder and drag it across the sand into the surf yesterday, my penn sargus 6000began clicking on the retreive. It had always been silent when reeling in before this happened. I admit this was a pretty no-brainer on my part, but given that fact, how do I get back to a silent retrieve? thanks, Jon

If your rods in a holder you should be using a baitrunner

Take it apart and clean out the sand. You probably just need to unscrew the drag knob and clean under the rotor.
