I spend many weekends at the jersey shore (Avalon). I have done mostly trout fishing in the Poconos over the past few years. I did pick up a nice 8wt for some spottail in Charleston last year and intend to have try with stripers between Cape May and AC. Mostly I will be walking Corson's, townsend's and the Avalon/Sea Isle Beaches. Any insight or ideas are welcomed, just PM me as I am trial by fire as of easter weekend.
Ira, we have a resident water whipper here, he's a postal worker and fits the profile! I do a little whippin as well, my preferance is 10 weight or higher, as an 8 is a little light for Bass over 20 lbs, in my opinion. We have a sub forum just for the fly guy's, check the site out, we have lot's of info for you.
