Last week had a great morning catching 6 all keeper size and all released successfully in the pre-dawn time and this included a nice fay 39"er

Went out again this morning in the pre-dawn and again had 6 fish with the best being a 38"er.

They are around....they're just not everywhere.

Action has been picking up in Ganset area lately. Lots of Big blues and schoolie bass with them. Cooked up a nice 15 lb blue tonight. Delicious. I know most people dont like blues, but they are one of my favorite fish to eat. Id rather eat those suckers and release my bass most of the time.

Took the boys ocean fishing for the first time last weekend while the ladies sunned at Scarborough. Nothing better than pulling up a dozen scup to give them the thrill. The action was nonstop on worms and squid.

first comment was "these are like giant sunfish".

Next stop : We'll be hitting the flats by Brewster this weekend for some wade sight casting. If the rips and swells are tame by Sunday after Earl passes through - I'll be using the yak to hit some creek outlets. Otherwise - I'll be paddling for trout and bass in the kettle ponds if wading the flats seem dead or dangerous

Will post any positive results on the mass fishing report section.

oh yeah - meant to add...hitting Matanuck Deep Hole the weekend after next.

Planning on yak-trolling eels or tube-n-worms at night close to shore (>100 yrds out) and plugging near the jetties as the sun rises.

never been there before so any advice welcome.
