Default Land Locked Stripers and Rain.

I''m heading down to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky for Stripers this weekend. It's supposed to rain off and on all the way up till thursady. i was wondering what this will do to the Stripers.

It will be raining Monday-Wensday. We will be fishing Thurs-Sunday.

I was just wanting to know what to expect.

Low light is good for stripers....it should keep them closer to the surface

I wasn't sure if the cool rain would bring the shallower due to higher oxygen levels, the rain would turn them dormant, or they may go deeper due to temperature fluctuations on the surface.

Or maybe I'm just really looking to far into it.. ;)

Kinda

To make it easier, concentrate on the upper 20' The last I heard (actually a few days ago) the thermocline was about 30'. Slightly cooler surface temps and good oxygen toward the surface is where you will probably find your active fish especially if you have low light conditions. To bad your not fishing when its raining as we have always whooped them in the rain

Yeah I missed that the first time I read the post......Didn't catch he'd be there after the rain...but yeah...low light is the way to go. Sun I was fishing dead middle of the day on a lake near here, ended up having to jig about 25' of water to find them....It was sunny and clear that day, hence the deep fish.....
