I still have about 2 weeks to tally up from my logs but we absolutely crushed our last year's record both in numbers, size and weight. I thought last year's record was untouchable but I'd be surprised if we do this well next year.....who knows...its fishing. Hope everyone had a great season. Now its time to smash 50 lbers on a weekly basis.
hey Doc what size boat do you for the salt? Thinking about trying my hand at the ocean

Overall the boat is 30 ft with a 9.5 ft beam. Actual Hull is 25.5 ft. I wouldn't recommend going in the ocean with anything less.

Look for a Grady White Sailfish.......great boats esp 90-95 and reasonably priced. They can handle 10-12' seas no problem.

The Saltwater fishing has been epic so far with lots of 48-50 inch fish.

Do guys ever have much luck on the Hudson using artificial? I’m thinking Alabama rigs, spoons or mojos... I know bloods and chunk are the go to for a lot of guys but just wondering if SW techniques I’d use in the sound or in bigger water can work on the Hudson.
