Worst conditions i ever fished in.....

I guess it would be the night that i fished from the rocks out in front of the beach. The winds were strong but coming from my back so i wasn't worried. The tide was low so the black, slippery cr*p on the rocks was exposed. The surf banging against the rocks was 15-18 feet. I needed to get down a little further on the rock, i could see a nice ledge to stand on with my headlight. I climbed down and got a great footing in the rocks. I was throwing clams, as i casted into the waves...my foot slipped, i was going down and i was gonna hit hard. just as i was falling, one of those waves came and washed me right off into the night sea. I would have rather fallen than have a wave, drag my face against the rocks and barnicles. I never let go of my rod. the wave washed me about 20 feet away until i grabbed back onto a rock. the only way my buddy found me was because my headlight was still on. when he got me up, my face was a bloody mess, looking much worst than it was. we all know how barnicles make ya bleed i'm sure. I washed down with saltwater and went back to fishing, from a much higher perch. I will now be purchasing Korkers this season hahaha.

there was a delapidated pier at the end of page avenue some years back and if you stepped from one piling to the other and along a few beams you'd reach the end where there was a homemade platform of pywood. my buddy bolted at the sign rain and sat in the car and just as the tide came in and the rain poured down, it got dark out and i was pulling up doubleheaders of fluke (all keepers) at least 20 kept 10 20" and better. and the lightning was all around me the platform was going to and fro and i'm so scared i;m laughing at the fluke and drinking the beers and after 2 dozen sandworms and the storm went by my buddy ed came out to look in the bucket and just said wholy sh*#. i did give him some fish though, i was so stupid back then

One time I was smelt fishing, A street in Hull Mass. It was a windy, cold day in Nov. We were doing pretty good. I 'm sitting on the peir with my feet swinging about one inch from the water. All of a sudden this seal comes out of the water right in front of me. I sh-t myself.

One of my first experiences night fishing on Lake Cumberland, a crazy storm rolled in on us. It poured for hours. We finally had to find a spot in a cove where the boat would somewhat stay in one place, and hunker down til the rain let up. Rain finally let up, and we continued fishing until sun up.

We've had a few nights of running from lightning as well.

I can't wait to get down there on Tues!!! This will be my first trip down since last October. Screw spring, I'm glad it's night fishing time!
