Default "New" winter project planning?

Had time to ponder the comming winter a bit during last weeks storm and came up with quit the list of "must do's" for next year.
Things targeted;

1)Makin a new rod for the Penn 525 Mag that sits unused awaiting a good rod.

2)Gotta make a lot more flies / teasers,,,,,, a lot more!!

3)Want to learn and try my hand at plug makin (with "no blues allowed" written in red!)

4)Finish up my home-made tracer lathe.

5) Pursue the ideas I have of a Bait Bag for eeling.

6) Catch-up on some serious sleep I've missed this season!!!!

Anyone else have a list to help combat the "Cabin Fever Blues" (after tog season of course)?

A little soon for planning, some things that need doing are such....

A) New rod for the canal/surf. This is to follow the noodle rod I have had an IM6 blank for years waiting to be wrapped.

B) Flies. Why did I stop tying? when will I be through with my current supply. No Answer, not the point. Must tie. ( I have the scotch. Waiting on the snow.)

C) Go see Mr. Carlson for Plugs. All you Montock, and P-town guys know the plugs, But he's in my back yard and a hell of a guy. I just wanna say hey and spend some time with George.

D) Fish cakes.

E) Cod from shore. Never tried it but this may be the year, I say hello to Point Allerton. Guy from Hull you reading this?

F) Did I meantion the scotch? If there is snow, please make it a good one.

I have a big tool bag full of old woodenplugs that I'm gonna try to restore. They all need new hardware and maybe a light sanding. Not gonna bother with the paint.
There's still plenty of fishing left down this way though.
Im also going to try and visit the warm water outflow this year.

Got rods to build, I'll be doing a Lami 150-2 Hatteras style heaver and a pair of original Gary Loomis made Rouge rods (scored the blanks right from the hand of Lou Truppi ). Need to build a new gaff too, my good one got swept off a jetty this year - I was lucky I didn't go with it.
Got plugs to make.
Got reels to modify, I want to drill the rotors and spools on a 704 and 706 and I have to figure out how to do a mod on my Mitchell 496 and 396 to keep that little bit of sand from building up in the rotor cup.

My plate is full

you were telling me i had nice plugs. what ever you do don;t sand or paint any of them. i firmly believe SOME of the shoddy ones catch the most fish. but hey! that;s comin from just a googin with a crazy way of fishing.

Jim, we need to see better pictures before you touch any of those plugs. if those are original flaptails they're worth a few bucks.

And what is this one, does it have any markings ??

I put some new hardware on some of these puppies.
VMC trebles.
The markings on the flaptails say Chas Russo.
I'll have to take em out for a swim.
I have a kit for a Musso style Torpedo swimmer.
Interesting. Really nice wood.
Ill post some finished pics later.
