Re: UPPER CHESAPEAKE - NORTH EAST RIVER aka "sandy cove"
At least someones havin some luck at the north east lol. My brother and i went down last weekend and all about got skunked. We fished the flats most of the day with top water lures. I boated a nice sized large mouth and lost around a 20" striper while i was going for the net. My brother boated a 21" walleye which i thought was strange. I wasnt aware of walleye being out in the bay but anyways, Are they getting stripers in the upper parts yet or is it still slow? We were thinking about planning another trip for next weekend.

Re: UPPER CHESAPEAKE - NORTH EAST RIVER aka "sandy cove"
We launched at Anchor Marina By the naughty goose. We boated down the bay and turned right into the channel at the top of the flats, from there we drifted across the flats down towards havea de grace. it was really windy that day so we drifted pretty fast which was annoying cause there were alot of areas along the way i would have liked to give more attention. I did manage to boat one good sized large mouth on a top water lure during that drift which was exciting. After that we boated back to the channel where we continued down towards that fishing peer near that park - ball field. we hung out around that peer for a little while and there is were i hooked into that one striper on the topwater lure. After that we went down around Havea de grace and had no luck, then out to the flats strait out from havea de grace with no luck. Around that time it was starting to get cold and we were running out of day light so we desided to head back to the marina. Its pretty fusterating when you drive an hour and a half then only land one fish but i guess it could have been worse. Anyways thats it for now. If we deside to go with weekend ill post a fallow up report- Rooster
