That one went almost 9lbs. This was the size for them today,about a dozen this morning between 4 and 8 lbs. I think the action is going to be good for awhile now

You have to be having fun with those critters. When I get one that goes nearly nine on the lake, I always have to wonder if I'm going to be able to boat it; those fish are so strong. It must be a real questionable exchange to try bring a nine pounder to the shore. What a challenge! Of course, that guy up north pulled a 22+ pounder in, and he was shore fishing, too. What pound test line do you use, Dave?

Those are some nice fish there Dave. I think you have the Gizz 3 record with that 9 lb hybrid. You will have to go some to beat Tim Adrien of Moster Stripes for Gizz 4 though. He got a 15 lber. I guess I need to get down to your end of the river and toss some Smack with you. It wont be until after football season. I hope the hybrids are still up in there then.

I use 14 lb Gamma line. Excellent line. As high as I will use is 17. We need to make some long casts and the thinner line helps.And I need all the help I can get!

I know I won't get giants every time so I feel comfortable using what I use. Come on up after the season Scott. They should be doing even better by then. We'll Smack "em around some!!
