I'll be hitting the graveyard shift Friday morning from 3 am till whenever. First time fishing early morning this year. Will let you guys know. Bought a digital camera for myself too. So I can take pictures of monster Sea Robins.

keep an eye out for the seals. skane told me he saw one this afternoon at the conference house and one was by the great kills marina yesterday. could be the same one but i doubt it. they know the bass are here with tons of bunker. the bluefish should be in full swing by mothers day. this low pressure system is gonna lurk around till the weeks end. think thursday is the best day/night to fish (so far)

Seals into the marina? I thought they were more open ocean lurkers. I wouldn't be too suprised but I would assume they would steer clear from closed water. I'm just really suprised that things didn't heat up along rockaway and Brooklyn yet. A lot of regulars who fish much more than I do haven't been doing so hot. The keeper ratio to each fisherman for bass is about 1 to 10 for each guy out. Blues are a bit more common and I have only heard of Weakfish but not seen one yet.

I'll keep an eye out thanks for telling me.

the big fish are further out gorging on the multitude of bunker offshore. this weekend will be the beginning of bluefish nirvana (for those who love the slaughter and mayhem of bluefish wrangling) i just handle the fact i am gonna loose alot of fly's and deal with it.

Went out to my spot in the bay tonight for the first three hours of the out going. Not even a tap. I saw some birds working and cast some lure towards where they were but nothing. I couldn't make out what they were eating only that it was small, so I tried every think a had in my bag. The water was very calm and I was wandering if that had any thing to do with it? Do any of you guys have any ideas?
