Toledo Bend Lake - bordering Texas and Louisiana - 205,000 acre lake with over 1,200 miles of shoreline

LAKE CONDITIONS: At midweek the lake level stood at 172.05' with water surface temperatures ranging from 82-88 degrees. North Toledo is stained, mid lake is slightly stained-to-clear and south Toledo is clear to very clear. Both generators are running 7 hours daily from 1-8 p.m.

The submerged grass situation continues to improve all over the lake but the best quality of grass, by far, is still on the southern third of The Bend.

STRIPERS: Late afternoon trolling has been successful while generators are running. Also, strolling a striper jig around Louisiana Islands, Texas Islands and near the dam is also getting some nice striper. Scattered breaking are showing up early and late in these same areas. My Favorite Topwater schooling bait for stripers is a Salt Water addition Frenzy Walker in Grey Ghost.

TOLEDO

TOLEDO LAKE CONDITIONS: Water levels remain outstanding at 171.42' and surface temperatures range from 85-90 degrees. Both generators are running from noon until 8 p.m. until further notice. Basically, all of Toledo has fishable water conditions with north Toledo stained, mid lake slightly stained-to-clear and south Toledo Bend is clear-to-very clear.

STRIPER: The best bet is below the generators from 7:30 till 9:30 p.m. on Pencil Poppers, Frenzy Walkers (salt water series), large redfins and Texas Whirlwind Striper jigs (1/2 or 3/4 oz.) Slab spoons are also working. Above the dam anglers are having some success trolling deep crankbaits from the dam to the Texas and Louisiana Islands.

Toledo Bend La

LAKE CONDITIONS: The lake level at mid-week was at 168.5' and rising due to heavy rains( five plus inches). Both generators are running 24/7 at the dam and the surface water temperatures range from 67-70 degrees.

North Toledo is stained-to-muddy, mid lake is stained and south Toledo is clear. However, even on south Toledo, the main feeder creeks will have stained/muddy water due to run off.

Stripers are scattered due to heavy ran and runoffs and have been feeding on Shad
