Default Wader Repair

Can you patch/repair neoprene waders? Managed to put two hooks in em last weekend, but at least it was while taking fish off the hook. Got two small holes in either leg, water gets in really really slowly, wore them for hours after with just wet socks to show. Saw breathable wader repair kit but nothing for neoprene at the store, anyone know if this can be done and how?

Yup,, I had to patch mine a couple weeks ago because my friggin big toe nail cut into the stocking foot. I just picked up a tube of wader repair cement at Wal-Mart (on the shelf right next to the waders), followed the instructions and it worked great.

clean the spot with a toothbrush and diluted dish soap and rinse off excess soap and let them dry completely. (inside and out) the neoprene is harder to find the spot than breathables. whenever this happens you should immediately grab the hoook (if you see the incident happen and can pull the hook out. sometimes you see it happen and it will pull away from the waders without help) mark the hole with a marker or something for future reference to fix later with repair kit. i suggest you get a quick fix for times when it could very well ruin your day on the water. i like LOON WADER REPAIR and may need to get it at cabelas or a fly shop. this type is able to be done on the spot and no need to worry about losing fishing time. of couse you would have this problem with stockingfoots if you took them off and saw jacobs feet!
