Default New Stamford boater looking for Striper Fisherman

Hey all, just bought a 24 foot rampage with an inboard (great cockpit) and I've been fishing the Cows, Todds point and assorted locations daily. So far I've nailed one Cormorant, 2 lobster buoy's and 3 pretty good sized Sea Robins.

Primarily a freshwater and southern water fly fisherman for the past 30 years, I'm learning the sound and figuring things out as I go with a little help from my local bait and tackle shop. I have the gear, the boat and the time....so if anyone is looking for a fishing partner from time to time, and is willing to guide a newbie, drop me a line and I'll provide the boat and the gas !

Regards....

Maybe a thread move to the Ct forum will get a bite.

I'm not much of a boat guy at all but I have found on the few occassions when I do go on someones boat that keeping the bait down near the bottom is the key for me. For example if the current is picking up as the tide is dropping I upsize the weight to make sure I stay in the strike zone. Of course there are a gazillion other variables but it can make a huge difference when the fish are there.

I am also new to Stamford, I have a 21' walk around. I am trying to find fishing spots too. I would like to know where to fish as well. I know of 32A and Cows thats about it. I have only fished them a couple times without bites.

Let me know if anyone has any GPS coordinates to share.
