Default guess the fishing line?

.......I bought a new Shimano BR 4500 reel from E bay, The guy bought the reel from a tackle shop and they put line on it, he never used it and hence sold it. Before replacing his line with Ande (pink) I decided to give the reel a try.. I been out 3 times with this reel so far, and caught a bunch of fish, I love the way this line handles, no memory, casts nice, spins onto spool nice. I have no idea what brand line this is......the only hints I got is that it is mono type (not braid) and it has an unusual color, it appears white but changes its hue in different light... sort of like pearlescant, (mother of pearl) sounds familiar to anyone?? ...........Thanks

It sounds like some type of Fluorocarbon line, or a co-polymer type line, like P-line. Only because of the lack of memory. Those lines are sort and supple when it comes to spooling and memory. I love them.
Did you see if you could email the original ebay seller?

Check out Tackle warehouse, they have many brand names.
But some are Berkeley, Izorline, P-Line, and others.

It sounds to me like Stren Original Clear/Blue I have this on many reels that I own. It is clear in appearance but it turns blueish purple out to the water which allows you to watch it better for a strike. Stren has it in all pound test. I really like it for is visibility and knot strenght!

it sounds kind of like Berkley Transition Flurocarbon.......although i thought they only had lines that turn gold and red in the sun
