lots of action here in tracy area in the cali aquaduct , i've been teaching a guy at work how to fish and cast after work and he hooked a couple of stripers last night, I landed two 15 inchers and a 19 incher . the couple of days before had much of the same results on anchovies with the hooks 2 and 4 feet off the bottom.

Hello. Guys am new to this site and forum and I love fishing. I would like to ask you guys if u know of a good spot to fish in the kern aqueduct, I live in Arvin ca. And the places that I've fished in are Lake Ming and Hart park lake, and I would like to fish in the aqueduct so if anybody can help and tell me a good accesible spot in the aqueduct near Bakersfiel I would really apreciate it.

Thank you.

The gates have been up all the way for going on over a month already. All day every day. Moss on top of moss. Anybody having luck at the aqueduct? I hear drifting is your best bet right now. Ive tried it a few times but no luck yet.

Been doing some sporadic fishing here and there. Catching mostly undersized fish, but caught a nice fat male made for a nice meal that day.

Caught on a blue and silver LC120

Good to see that there are still fish in the water. It has been 1 or2 fish per hour and all around 16 or 17 inch. The temp went really cold a few weeks ago and they stopped hitting any lures, anyone run into these conditions during the winter, what kind of change up in tactics is needed? My brother is driving down through lancaster area tomorrow and will try the aquaduct, hows the bite and on what ?

Early morning in real cold temps slow your retrieve down alot. All I been using lately is a LC 120 with blue and chrome or blue and white. Better success would be early afternoon tho. Ive been fishing the side grates between gates. And at the gates but more by the bouy line since the gates are low or closed everyday
