braid or mono for trolling

I am looking to re-spool my trolling gear and question whether to go with braid or mono. I typically troll from 120-150 feet out at 2.5 to 3mph and am curious as to what set ups you can recommend. Do I use a braid with little to no stretch and set the drag a little looser or use mono, set the drag heaver and allow the stretch of the mono to do the rest. At theese speeds the fish hit hard and in few instances the force will stretch a hole in the mouth just large enough for the fish to chance throwing the hook. My basic assumption is what im more confident in but have learned that there is always more to it if it seems that simple. Also for those of you who use braid do you use a floro leader with a swivel, floro tied direct, or no leaders?

I am not an expert but.... I use braid with a swivel and floro leader. I like the braid since I can get deeper with less line out. I do have the reels set lighter than I did with mono.
