Sounds like your parents collection of music. Those groups are older than you are. I didn't see one of my favorites on your list..."the boss".

"The rangers had a homecoming in Harlem late last night.
And the magic rat drove his sleek machine over the Jersey state line.
Barefoot girls sitting on the hood of a Dodge drinking warm beer in the soft summer rain.
As the rat pulls into town, rolls up his pants, together they take a stab at romance and disappear down flamingo lane." Jungleland/Bruce

What a poet.

You're a Bruce fan too Roc, cool. I went to college down in south Jersey living just off the boardwalk in Ventner. One Saturday night we drove up the coast to Asbury Park to hear the Asbury Dukes. The openning act was this skinny local kid just old enough to support a scraggly beard, guess who?

It was just before he came out with his first album, "Greetings from Asbury Park". I remember him playing "Sandy", thinking to myself, wow this kid has really captured the image of your typical Jersey Boardwalk kids life style in his lyrics.

"Sandy the fireworks are hailing over Little Eden tonight.
Forcing a light into all those stoned-out faces left stranded on this Fourth of
July.
Down in town the circuit's full with switchblade lovers so fast so shiny so
sharp.
And the wizards play down on Pinball Way on the boardwalk way past dark.
And the boys from the casino dance with their shirts open like Latin lovers
along the shore
Chasin' all them silly New York girls (virgins on the score)."

19 albums and 30+ years later, simply known as "The Boss".

Jim, I just lost all respect for you. If we ever fish together, it's gonna be on my boat with my music.

LED ZEPPELIN IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME is good too. That band really puts a whoopin on mules behinds with belts. Wesley Willis rules too. He can really rock N roll. R.I.P. WESLEY WILLIS. CROWBAR rules. I like alot of classic rock too. Influences from all angles......BOSTON is just plain tough. QUEEN. Suicidal Tendencies, Dag Nasty, Descendents, Dead Kennedy's, Slayer, old Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, old Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Dire Straits, Nazareth, Social Distortion, MISFITS, Van Halen, Demented Are Go, Frantic Flintstones, The Meteors, Nekromantix, Red Hot and Blue, Big Sandy and the Fly Rite Trio, The Uglies, Pantera, DOWN, Motley Crue ('specially the old stuff), All Out War, Sepultura, Huey Lewis....man theres so much stuff!!!!!!!!
