Default Cats out of the bag....

So I might as well share.... some of you saw these on Marsh marauders.... so I'll spill...Introducing the bottle eel...

these are my swap plugs, which i was going to keep a secret.. a design I have been perfecting for a few years... it might be the best plug I have ever produced....

In building the plug, I wanted one that would cast well ( jointeds normaly dont) swim well at slow speeds, and also at high speeds, bottle plugs do not roll out so that was another endearing feature... when all was said and done, I came up with a slim, eel like plug, of bottle plug design, it performs well as a slow surface plug but has the ability to dive down to about 6', it swims well in fast water, a slow retrieve make it snake along the surface, a fast retrieve makes it dive and tighten the wiggle, IMHO looking like a bait fish trying to "get the hell out of dodge"..

the plug is made of WRC ( western red cedar) is 10" long (less the 4" bucktail and feather teaser tail, which makes the silloette of the plug 14") and weighs a touch over 3 ounces, a pair of 3/0 VMC trebles gaurd the fort and the tail section is grooved to accept an eel skin...

after seeing plugs of that magnatude, i am at a loss for words....and short on breath..and i have a strange pain in my left shoulder...and a piercing burn in my chest...somebody call 911. im not kidding when i say those plugs give me goosebumps beyond comprehension...a light headed dizzy feeling...an absolute religious experience. i have a feeling i may end up in a coma when the swap is over.....
im almost ashamed to mail my offerings in...

They are some nice looking, I'd say the only thing missing is the slime, or is it?

Wow. If you EVER want to sell ANY, name a price and consider as many as you want sold gone. That plug is a work of art.

They are sweet looking, now I have to pry an eel away from one of our ethnic/immigrant frineds down on the inlet jetties so I can skin it. Never fished an eel skin, but I will soon.
