Default Ugly Stik Lite

Anybody have any feedback on these rods? I could be a little rough with my gear, so I didn't want to spend a fortune. These would be used strictly on the river, I was looking at one casting and one spinning setup...they are rated for 12-25# test and 8-17# test.

Thumbs up Re: Ugly Stik Lite

Hi Shovel,
I own 2 Ugly Stick Lite Conventionals and have no doubts
About their durability. I have the 8'6" lengths in 8 -20 MH
And the other is 12 -30 H. they come with a 5yr warranty
I primarily will use them in lakes, rivers and ponds.
They are well suited for the above and the fiber glass tip
Gives you added sensitivity whether you casting or sand spiking.
Most of my rods are of European design like Mikado Black Draft
Team Dragon, Jaxon, Shimano Int'l.
I get high performance with out the G-Loomis price tag
And the constant broken tips even though they replace it
But why go through the hassle if you can avoid future problems
I'm getting a custom trout rod made for me from Poland
And I can't wait to throw a line in the water with it.
Feel free to call me and I'll give you the lowdown on
European rods 646 -369 -9570.take care and God bless.

Ugly Sticks are tough because of the fiberglass and low modular graphite in their makeup.

Fiberglass has very little feel to it. Low modulus graphite has less feel then high.

High modulus graphite is very sensitive with the trade off of being more brittle.

Fiberglass is cheaper to build with then graphite. Low modulus graphite is cheaper then high

Tough and cheap with little feel, or more expensive and more breakable with more sensitivity.

You choose what best fits your needs
