I like that idea Suds.......................
Wish I would have thought of that years ago.
I would have a plug with most of the best known guy's from the 60's.
I have Bob Ponds signature on a 40, The last 40 he removed from the mold the day he gave the shop over to the new owners.
I have it in a shadow box with a verrrrrrrrrrrrry special plug Roc gave me last week. When I get another camera I will post it.

That's pretty cool, a plug for plugbuilders.

We were all hanging out at Diggers the other night and I figured it would be a nice momento. Probably the most talent BS session I've ever been around for.

Bottom row - Me (holding the plug), Scotty
Middle row - Mike Fixter, RM Smith, Gary, CK, Digger
Back row - Big Rock, Sparky, NiB and Chumbucket

That's cool.

Here's an idea to take it one step beyond. I'm thinking this idea might be reserved for building a plug that would be auctioned off for some charity event.

Have a group of the masters builders build a plug together and jointly sign it. Like one person shape the blank, one person drill the eyes and grommet holes, one weight it, one seal and prime, one or more paint, one clearcoat, one rig, one do the bucktail, and one build a display box for it.

Maybe draw lots for each task. Mail or deliver the plug to the next builder. All get together to sign it before the clearcoat. And have a task card documenting each step, who the builder was, and their initials indicating their completion of the task.

Something like that might fetch a great price for a good cause. Just an idea.
