Lamiglas made / makes a moocher in 9 ft.
Have had one for years, bought anouther about 10 yrs ago.
The original is being converted over from spin to conv. (if I ever get it finished)
Much like a flyrod on steroids.
Soft tips / light action. I like them for soft baits and lazy pluggin. Rod stores a lot of energy and exhibits an easy launch (partly why the conversion to conv. using a Penn 525).
I agree that casting distance maybe somewhat less than excellent,,,, but the bait doesn't tear off easily, splash down is soft, and a smaller fish looks and feels like a lunker.... a 30-35 lber. is a,,,,,,, experience(?)!
