Default Plum Island - Where are the fish?

Fished Friday night into the morning walking the beach with artificials. Stopped at Surfland in the morning and fished lot 4 and 6 with bait. 10 plus hours of fishing and one skate. Of all the people I ran into, no one was catching fish. Over the next few weeks, where should one go to fish before the season winds down?

Default Re: Plum Island - Where are the fish?

I's been a tough season around PI.. . there has ben plenty of small fish but big fish have been lacking... the best fishing of the year was on the August full moon...we had one section of beach give large ( to 49lbs) fish for 9 days ( actually nights) straight... since then it's been catch as catch can.. weeding through the small fish to find the larger ones... I've only been fishing 2 days a week( except during that 9 night blitz).. instead of my normal 4 or 5.. last week I never left the dock... this weeks N/E blow will keep the boat tied up once again... I may fish the river one night...but I'm hedging the season finale on the full moon. If that's a bust.. I'm pulling the boat and getting my ice fishing gear ready!
