I caught this schoolie on a swim bait down near the Slocum river estuary area. He hit within 2 seconds on my very first cast of the day. Sadly he was the only one, but I hope there will be more!!! Threw him back but he was fun!!!

I like the hidden message in this post, "the Shocker" flashed with the right hand. J/K man, glad to see ya getting into fish, patiently waiting another 2-3 weeks here in north country before we start seeing any action.

Two schoolies caught in Marion last night, still waiting for the spring run! Sunday saw a cooler of Mackeral that the guys said they jigged up on the south side of the vineyard. Going to have to use the 3 finger salute with my first keeper this year!

I hope this is the last weekend that I dont go fishing! A afternoon weding and mothers day put a damper on my weekend. Anyways my friends caught two keepers out at Bird Island on soft plast swim shads, got a bunch of schoolies and about 1/2 dozen blues. Love those snappy blues with mayo, pepper and lemon in a tin boat on the grill. Definetly need to catch a keeper ASAP!

... was wondering if anyone could lend me some experience or info. (no spot burning) The dike on the east side of the canal on the mainland side between Onset and Little Harbor (Wareham). Has anyone fished the ledge right up close to the dike? if so could you give me some pointers on lures and currents... would be awesome. Thanks in advance

Feeding frenzy at the west end of the canal today! Trolling on the boat had 1 doubleheader with two keepers, and three other keepers in a matter of minutes. Was on and off the water today with dad in less than 1.5hrs, forgot to do the three finger hold on the fish maybe Sunday I can remember. Great day to say the least! Biggest fish was 36" 17lbs, peace

DAMN! I was down there just last night on the canal, near the rail road bridge. Nothing! And of course, the weather today is going to rain, ugh.

Anyway, NICE FISH!

Went out Sunday, looked high and low found only 3 schoolies and used $115 in gas for just the boat, I motored everywhere and trolled for about 4.5 hours, plugged in a few favorite locations, no keepers thatís why they call it fishing I guess. Should have gotten green crabs!!
Getting more comfortable with the new boat now, figured out that my 1650F Furuno GPS/Fish Finder doesn't work without an enhancement chip so that was another $175. The wife isn't too happy with me about the money and my friends are too cheap!
Speaking of cheap friends it can't just be my friends I hope? Last year I resorted to having the boat (sold that one) filled with gas prior to going out then we all go to the gas station at the end of the day and see how much was consumed. Next guy to offer me $20 for gas after we have been out all day is going to get my fishing pole stuck you know where.
I am looking forward to Fluke and Sea Bass season opening this weekend. When I can't find the stripers I can usually still find some other fish and bottom fishing is so much cheaper than trolling! Fish on!!!
