Default Slow Fishing But Not Boat Traffic

it was dead out there for me today, not even the smallies would bite.
fished the creek which was insane then moved to the main river above Hudson.
there sure was no lack of boat traffic however. Folks need to use common sense and respect others while boating. My opinion all the traffic and being it is still early the fish that are here were put down.I even went to the tried & true , herring.

Anyone else have better luck ?

Fished Catskill area yesterday 6:am-4:pm,no herring ! no fish! Nobody caught anything that we could see in that entire area. coverd about 2mi. of water. Water was cold 45 and stained, needs to warm up some. Your right on with the boats, that is a dangerous area to be anchored up! Tite lines!

I was out yesterday, same results. I couldn't find any herring, and everyone I spoke to had the same problem. I can't believe how fast some of these people were flying up and down the river, couldn't they see all the logs and debris!!

Well I dont feel bad now, seeing that I am not the only one that didn't have any luck. No herring either. Tried from the albany boat launch up to troy dam.

Friday Reel Force and I fished from 5:15am until 2pm and didn't get a thing from Port of Albany all the way up to the Troy dam. Marked plenty of bait fish and some larger fish on the finder, but no luck. I did lose a fish while jigging for herrring, which was probably a shad, but that was the only action all day. Did see two catfish caught on the dock at the Albany boat launch.
May have to wait for warmer water (was 48 Friday) and more action South of Albany before anything comes up to Corning Preserve.

Fished on Friday afternoon for about 4 hours. River was smooth. Used chunk and only catch was a big old eel. Marina owner told us someone had caught a 30 pounder earlier that morning. It figures!!

We fished mouth of river across from Saugerties Lighthouse. Owner of Saugerties Marina said 30 pounder was caught earlier Friday morning.
