Default Aqueduct Topwater Fisherman

Raise your Hand

Do the Stripers hit Topwater on a Regular basis when there Around or is the Duct more of a Sub surface bottom fishery Like he Sacramento River & the Deep Water Channel up here in Sacramento?

Yes, they are the same as the Secremento and the deep water channel.

I don't know about where your at, but round here in central cali, they'll blow stuff out of the water from time to time

Yes, they do the same thing here just depending on the water temp and bait fish in the aqueduct. I am from Palmdale Southern California. With the Stripers here you can get them to boil but here there has been alot of changes and they are not running the aqueduct like they use too! Next year they are talking about only running the water 20%. Have a Merry Christmas to you and yours.

StriperJim, I talked to you once before about stripers in Quail lake.
Have you had much success there? Do you fish where the aqueduct comes into the lake? I have fished it a handful of times, but not much success. I've just got a feeling with the limited access to the lake, a true monster might be swimming around in there. I mean, a fish over 70 lbs. What do you think?
