sorry it was a bust for you. it was like really hard as these guys had no idea what to get and i told them to come and i would get them geared up. i was worried about you and them at the same time and getting frustrated. i got them what they SHOULD have as opposed to what that one knucklehead was trying to pawn off on them. they spent an extra 100 bucks but with that said i got them a really great setup at probably 1/3 what it would normally cost. i mean 75 to 85 bucks off the rods themselves was good so a job well done for the time it took to outfit i'd say. i hope you are alright> i wanted to call but just got in. forgive me for talking you into coming as i thought of no better person to spend the time with. bob pop was okay i guess, got to see jack Gartside before i left, he almost took a spill in front of me leaving. guess he saw me coming and said,"let me get the f$^$ out of here! lol, always nice to bust his chops. i will somehow make it up to you. there really is nothing but fly stuff. i was surprised you got that book you had.

Sorry I had to miss you guys.

I was there Saturday with my 11 year old who was registered for the kids fly tying class. He also got a private lesson with John Kumiski who was one of the featured tie'rs along the wall (It's good to have "Sudsy" for a dad ). John spend a solid 1/2 hour with him teaching the kid the basics and how to tie a Clouser (kid now does better dumbbell eyes then I do)
He's hooked bad, came home and started tying up a storm (Based on the amount of materials he's already consumed over the past few days this is going to end up costing me big $$$$ )

I did OK. Scored some nice flash material for a very good price along with a pair of books and two new ceramic bobbins, one ceramic tip the other full tube. Also found some nice purple hackle feathers for pennies in one of the bargain bins.
