marine VHF radio channels ?

Anyone use VHF radios fishing the Hudson - I'm interested in finding out the "charter" channels ...

68 is a fishing channel everywhere

i think 16 is for distress and coast guard.

AN FYI regarding channel 16.
USCG, and most coast stations maintain a listening watch on this channel.

The Putnam County sheriff patrol has a number for your cell. any1 no it? I think its 3416.
It can take up to an hour for a GC chopper out of Jersey to rescue.
