Default End of season

Well for the most part the season is just about over, up here anyway, for me.
At the beginning of the season, some of had new tackle. I know I did, I always like to try different/new reels.
How did you folks do with the new reels you got for the season?
One I am very impressed with was the Penn 650ssm, that reel held up fine. Getting dunked, a ton of huge bass and those toothy critters couldn't break down this reel.
I've also heard some neg. commments about my old friend Okuma, and their Epixor baitrunners.
Did anyone have bad experiences with those reels? I always had good comments about them.

Another couple of reels I tried this year were the Okuma, Alumina series. The 55 and 65 size. They as well did very well.
BTW, I used Fireline on the Penn and Alumina's.

What are your comments? We would like to know.

I have been useing the Avet Sx series for a couple of seasons, I love it. However, I just recently got the Avet Mx Which is a reel up from the Sx, I only used it once so far but I REALLY like this reel.

On the Okuma, I don't have any experience with them, but a friend of mine had one grind to a halt after 3 uses. I don't know the circumstances behind it, but that was the only review I have heard about them.

I picked up a Daiwa Team Advantage 4500s and spooled it with 10# Ande braid. I used it on a 9' salmon rod for summer schoolies and fluke.
What a great reel I've always been a big fan of the Daiwa Tournamant Whisker series but this Team Advantage has put my Whisker 2600 into retirement.
