Ocean City surf?

Getting antsy and thinking of going down to OC to fish the surf. Am I wasting my time?

I saw a guy fishing off the bridge in corsons inlet earlier in the week. He said nothing was going on. I am looking forward to getting in the inlet with my kayak for fishing.

Fished with clams from 3-8pm yesterday between 34th and Corson's Inlet, came up with 1 short, caught around sunset! Been hearing reports of fish being caught around the closed rt 9 bridge, Mamora/Somers Point late night.

Gave it a shot last Thursday and Friday, got skunked. Clams at Corson's Inlet along with plastics, jigs, kastmasters. Also tried at the 5th St jetty into Friday night. Very heavy mist but zip. Funny thing about that. A surfer at 5th street told me I should get out on the end of the jetty, he said he saw stripers "flopping around" out there. Well, rising tide and oncoming darkness seemed to add up to "trip to trauma center" so I kept my feet planted on the beach.
Still, had fun and looking forward to more trips. Actually, got an upcoming boat trip out of Point Pleasant coming up in about three weeks. Woohoo!
